Ray and Dave Davies are both ardent fans of Arsenal Football (soccer) Club, nicknamed "The Gunners".

Apparently Ray has written a song "Student Of The Game" for Arsenals's former goal scoring hero, Ian Wright, seen above, scoring and celebrating.
